NPLQ at Oaklands Community Pool, Southampton. Course price £275 early offer or £290 full price.
All candidates must be at least 16 years of age at the time of assessment.

All candidates must be able to swim 200m continuously on front and back,
able to reach a depth of 2m and be able to complete a 50m swim in under 60 seconds.
100% course attendance is required as well as a positive attitude to learning.

Monday evening lane swims will be cancelled when it falls on a Bank Holiday.

Child Admission Policy:

The Learner Pool and Main Pool have different ratios for supervision of Adult: Children.

An Adult is someone aged 16+ years.

Learner pool – Children under 3 years must be supervised on a 1 Adult: 2 Children basis (armbands and baby swim rings recommended for safety).

Learner Pool – Children aged 4-7 years must be accompanied on a 1 Adult: 3 Children basis.

Learner Pool – Children over 8 years do not need to be accompanied.

Main pool – children 3 and under must be supervised on a 1:1 basis with an adult

Main Pool – Children aged 4-7 years should be accompanied on a 1 Adult: 2 Children

Main Pool – Children over 8 years do not need to be accompanied.

  • Visited years ago with my children and now visiting with grandchildren. Lovely quiet learner pool for little ones. Just the right depth and always warm . If you observe the timetable you can choose a quiet session and the changing rooms are frequently cleaned. Not flashy or interactive pools but a good safe pool to spend your time playing and teaching littlies. It's a swimming pool, not a theme park!

  • Very clean friendly staff good atmosphere. Haven't been able to get here for couple of years, they now have nice new changing cubicles, showers and toilets. Still very clean and friendly.

  • This is a lovely pool. Staff are friendly and always helpful. Changing areas are always kept nice and clean. Both my children have had their swimming lessons here and also the pool parties are brilliant. We also enjoy going for a family fun swim here. Would recommend.
