Important Lesson Booking Information
BOOKING:
Lessons are typically booked for a specific day and time; though these can be relocated to new lesson days and times permanently (not for one-off lessons – you would use a holiday for these). All lessons must be paid for in full at the time of booking. We have three payment plans available for lessons, of 1, 4, 8, 12 or 20 x weeks. All bookings are priced per swimmer and offers cannot be extended or divided between swimmers. For booking, please get in touch with reception.
All sessions must be booked and paid for prior to attending the swimming lesson. Either over the phone or at reception. Please note that if lessons expire and no further booking is made, the swimmer will be automatically removed from the class register and someone else can immediately book into the newly vacant space.
Circumstances in which we will offer a refund:
-If an unauthorised use of your card is proven.
-Goods are proven to be damaged before the point of sale.
Due to a Leisure Activity exemption, leisure bookings that involve dates and times are not eligible or the 14-day cooling off period. If you change your mind or decide you no longer want to attend lessons we are unable to refund you any balance against the course booking. We allocate instructors and a space for swimmers on the basis of the learners intention to attend the booked course.
-The instructor will collect the swimmer from the entrance to poolside.
-Parents of children under 8 must stay in the building.
-The lesson is 30 minutes long and the parent/ guardian will need to collect the swimmer from the entrance to poolside.
You can take a break from swimming lessons providing you give 24-hours notice before the commencement of the next booked class. The space the learner will become available for others to book once the space is vacated. There is no guarantee that the vacated space will be available upon the learners’ re-booking.
We are able to hold the lessons in credit for you for up to 6 months from the date of notification. At the end of the 6 months, if the credit is not applied it will expire. There will be no financial remuneration for expired credits. The credit can be applied to a vacant space in a class for an immediate start upon re-booking. Any credit held can only be applied to lessons, but is not eligible for a refund under any circumstances.
We allow all swimmers two weeks holiday per calendar year, these can be taken at your convenience. You are not charged for these lessons. Holiday lessons must be arranged in advance and with the reception team.
We are able to credit up to 4 weeks per year with a doctor’s note detailing the need to not attend exercise or physical activity. We do not accept email or verbal notification for medical breaks. A common sickness or illness does not entitle you to a medical break; you will need to either take a holiday or lose that lesson. We can only honour a medical break on one occasion per annum. We can also freeze lessons by putting the swimmer on hold. This will remove the swimmer from the class until you choose to reinstate them if the space is still available.
All swimmers receive a unique code that can be used to track progress on our website. This number is available from reception. To access the Progress Tracker please select the Learn to Swim drop-down menu and then select Progress Tracker.
All swimmers in pre-school and stage lessons must wear a swimming hat. We recommend a one-piece costume for girls and trunks or shorts, which are no longer than knee length for boys. Swimmers can also wear a fitted rash vest and suitable goggles if they wish. Any swimmer who is not yet potty trained must also wear a suitable swim nappy.
Should you wish to cancel a private lesson, you are required to provide at least 24 hours’ notice for the cancellation to be non-chargeable. If the cancellation is carried out under 24 hours’ notice, you will still be charged for the lesson as the instructor is pre-booked and will be entitled to claim the wages.
